Advanced ECDL PowerPoint
Insert Online Video
On the Insert tab in the Media group, select Video
Choose Online Video
Enter the address of the video and click Insert
On the Video Tools – Playback tab in the Preview group, select Preview
The video will play in the slide
On the Video Tools – Playback tab in the Video Options group after Start choose Automatically or When Clicked On
On the Insert tab in the Media group, select Audio
Choose Audio on My PC
Choose an Audio File to play on the slide
On the Audio Tools – Playback tab in the Audio Options group after Start choose Automatically or When Clicked On
Audio Recording
On the Insert tab in the Media group, select Audio
Choose Record Audio
Change the Name of the recording
Click on Record and record a message
Click on Stop then OK
Press the Play button to playback the audio recording
Screen Recording
On the Insert tab in the Media group, select Screen Recording
Click and drag to select an area to record the screen
Click on the Record button
Perform any tasks within this area
Move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen
Click Stop
On the slide, press the Play button to playback the recording
Background Audio
Insert audio into a slide
On the Audio Tools – Playback tab in the Audio Styles group, select Play in Background
Preview the slideshow, the audio will play in the background
In the Editing group click on Trim Audio
Click and drag the Green and Red lines to change the Start and End time of the recording
Click OK
Animation Settings
On the Animations tab in the Animation group, apply an Appear animation to the rectangle and a Fade animation to the Oval
In the Advanced Animation group, select Animation Pane
Click on the arrow and select Effect Options
Under Enhancements after Sound, choose Applause
On the Timing tab change the Start option to With Previous
Click OK
On the Animation Pane, click on the Up Arrow to move the Oval above the Rectangle to change the order of shape animations
Animating Bulleted Lists
Highlight the bullet points
On the Animations tab in the Animation group, choose a Fade animation
In the Advanced Animation group, select Animation Pane
Click on the arrow beside the first animation and choose Effect Options
Click on After Animation and choose More Colors
Select a colour and click OK
Click OK again
Apply different colours to each bullet point
Preview the slideshow and notice how each bullet point changes colour after the animation
